IHUB SHRINE
Welcome!

This is my shrine to inquiry hub secondary school, thats where i go now! Its very serious no fun allowed! dont even think about joy or whimsy here EVER!!!!!!

Inquiry

What does inquiry mean here? at Ihub inquiries are projects that you do instead of electives, in grade 9 and 10 its multiple a term but in 11 and 12 one might make up a whole term. inquiries are limited mainly by time and your skills. each inquiry has a set amount of time you can spend on it, from 5 hours all the way up to 100 hours. They are designed to teach project and time management as well as the topic you choose.

You are allowed to work on whatever intrests you, so long as its school appropriate and not unrealistic. Common Inquiry topics include: art, music and coding. the sky is the limit!

my favorite inquiries of all time is This, a project that raised just 500 dollars under 50k for the covenent house originally and more coming in later. this is the most famous inquiry as it got on the news twice as well as the whitehouse football club getting involved. he graduated before i came in but i still think of him as an inspiration to me, not as a ihub student, but as a person.

Student led

a lot of things at Ihub are made and lead by students. Our logo, our merch, our garden and the nearly dozen murals around the school! outside of core classes pretty much everything is up to you, its really importent to be self led here, or you'll be left behind. You are generally allowed to do other classes homework in one class, so long as you arent too behind in that one. You can also be pretty creative with projects. for example i made a clay diorama for a project where we had to make a presentation about indigenous views of nature. I dont mean to intimidate you as generally you will be making a regular side show, but you get the oppertunity to do other things as well.

Fish lab

Ah the fish lab, a place of romance and science. A classic place to hide for hand holding between ninth graders...

im kidding of course, strangely enough this room ive been in maybe once or twice created a hand-holding rumor that will forever be funny to me

"Healing forest"

I'm not even sure if this is associated with IHub, but its still pretty cool. the healing forest is a decently large peice of land with a poorly painted map

its mostly used by the attached school, especially the forest classroom, We mostly use it during lunch for fun, as its just a nice place. ive only been there for class once or twice
